The heating system in the hall has been upgraded to an air-to-air system. This replaces our old oil heating system, and so far has proven to be very effective. This was made possible through a grant from Awards for All Scotland, and was installed by Steven R 
Paterson Ltd, plumbers, Kirkwall. The benefits of this system is that not only does it warm you up on cool nights, it also keeps you cool on warm nights, so there’s nothing to stop anyone tripping the night fantastic all night long on those summer weddings or dances in the hall.
